With homeowners and commercial claims, structure estimating for the most part is simplified. For example, a 2" x 4" is the same in Sweden as it is in Burbank and that is common knowledge. However, the sofa in your house and the sofa in my house are probably different, as well may be the window coverings, upholstered furniture, tables, chairs, bedding, artwork and more. 

It is vital to the claim to know the difference between types of fabrics, quality of sofa construction, yardage needed, whether or not a window covering is store bought or custom made, and so many other details regarding restoration and value related issues. Some contents companies try to refinish particle board which results in costly mistakes.
